Acupuncture safety - the lung

Hello all
I came across an interesting article that was recently published in the
Physiotherapy journal.
Mitchell, Johnson, Larson, and Seamons. "Positional Changes in Distance to the Pleura and in Muscle Thickness for Dry Needling." Physiotherapy 105.3 (2019): 362-69.
Whilst a small sample, this article reinforces how to safely needle the
thoracic cage area by exploring the importance of the position of the
client in addition to needle length, needle angle, sex and client
anthropometrics.
Let us all continue to strive to help our patients with acupuncture in a
safe and competent way.
Welcome your thoughts.
